While in the area for a few days, this pub was recommended. The food on the 2 nights we were there was delicious. There is a special 2 course on offer for £12.95, which had plenty of choice. The main menu had a wide variety of food also. The landlord and landlady mentioned that they had taken over 8 weeks ago. They are doing a great job. The food was a very high standard and very reasonably priced as were the drinks. It seems to have very good local support also. Would highly recommend it!

Great little pub and restaurant. The restaurant is of nice size and the public bar is cosy like a proper local, outside is nicely laid out with masses of space and even a fenced in play area for the children. Burger and chips wow! It was like eating half a cow.

4 star ratingGood but could be better We have eaten here on many occasions and the food is still good but my pet hate at any restaurant is hot food served on cold plates! The restaurant was cold in any case so the food soon went cold. Please heat your plates it makes such a difference. My only other niggle is when asking for tea all we got was a tea bag in a cup. Bring back tea pots. Having said this food was good and staff friendly but little things make such a difference.

5 star ratingYum My boyfriend and I have eaten here for a few times now and even spent valentines night here this year. Had to leave a review as the food is always great, really good size portions and the staff are lovely! Its dog friendly too and a kids play garden out the back if you should need it. Highly highly recommend 🙂

5 star ratingStill a good place to dine... I had not visited this venue for a while and was unaware that the venue had changed hands. I noticed straight away that the restaurant area had been redecorated and alot brighter... the meal was as good as always and reading the literature on the table they have kept the original chef/cook. It was quiet today. It looks like the new owners/management are improving facilities inside and out. Looking forward to their Christmas Menu... I will be there...
