While in the area for a few days, this pub was recommended. The food on the 2 nights we were there was delicious. There is a special 2 course on offer for £12.95, which had plenty of choice. The main menu had a wide variety of food also. The landlord and landlady mentioned that they had taken over 8 weeks ago. They are doing a great job. The food was a very high standard and very reasonably priced as were the drinks. It seems to have very good local support also. Would highly recommend it!

Great little pub and restaurant. The restaurant is of nice size and the public bar is cosy like a proper local, outside is nicely laid out with masses of space and even a fenced in play area for the children. Burger and chips wow! It was like eating half a cow.

5 star ratingYum My boyfriend and I have eaten here for a few times now and even spent valentines night here this year. Had to leave a review as the food is always great, really good size portions and the staff are lovely! Its dog friendly too and a kids play garden out the back if you should need it. Highly highly recommend 🙂

4 star ratingTasty Sunday lunch Arrived here at 1.30.pm having only booked on Friday. Welcomed to our table and asked if we would like drinks very promptly. Menus arrived and orders taken reasonably quickly. Waitress very obliging by noting my partner's request for grilled bass fillets rather than fried. Our dishes arrived pretty quickly given that the restaurant was nearly full and we had a special order. Smoked salmon starter was fine. Sea bass fillets were generous and cooked just right. May be a little more salad and less saute potatoes would have been nice but everyone has their own preferences. Roast was good and excellent value. Waitress checked twice to see if everything was fine, always a good sign. I am not a regular but have been here three times and each time it has been good. Shame they had none of their excellent apple pie on the menu today!
